Another Hannover Expo Pavilion!

The link below will take you to a bamboo pavilion designed by ZERI, or the Zero Emissions Research Initiative.


This is an interesting example of using bamboo to create a form-active, or static structure. One thing that I notice alot with the bamboo structures is that they are symmetrical and often use repetitive elements. This seems to allow for a more open expression of the material in use and does not confuse you when interpreting the structure which is almost always expressed.
